Twelve registered hikers can take a guided Turnagain tour with the Eagle River Nature Center on Wednesday, August 11 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Join volunteers Bob and Ann Fisher for a 6.6-mile round trip hike from the Potter Marsh Trailhead to McHugh Creek and back. Meet at the parking lot just past the Chugach State Park Headquarters at mile 115.2 on the Seward Highway to organize transportation. There is a $5 parking fee (AK State Park day passes honored). Hikers should be in good shape, but may be beginners. Hikers need to bring a daypack with snacks, water and wind/rain clothing. Must be at least 18 years old and register by calling 694-2108. Provide a contact phone number and email address at the time of registration.
