Staying Safe in Bear Country
Learn how to stay safe in bear country at the Eagle River Nature Center on Sunday, August 8 at 2 p.m. Taking a hike in one of our beautiful and wild state parks is a great way to celebrate the 40th birthday of the Alaska State Park System. Be prepared for bear encounters by learning about the biology and behavior of Alaskan black and brown bears, and how to stay safe recreating and camping in bear country. Free program; $5 parking for non-members.
